How to configure Twitter feed in your theme?
Where ever your Twitter feeds appears (In footer, SNS feed sidebar, Quick link icon or other places), its configuration relates two different settings at a time. They are-
1) Own theme widget/configure setting.
2) Your target Twitter accounts widget generation settings.
We will discuss number two at first, because, most of the time, if you know number two, you will able to complete number one without reading it here.
Your target Twitter accounts widget generation settings:
1. Sign in your Twitter account and go to setting.
2. Now click on Widget section
3.Click on create new
4.Fill up required fields and click on create button, next page will appear.
5.Carefully save two items from this page- 1. User name. 2. Widget Id number at any other file or paper. Remember, this two are basic information you will need to put in your theme setting.
Own theme widget/configure setting
The theme setting of Twitter widget is quite a bit same for almost every theme. They will provide you a Widget list (Appearance>Widget, for WP admin), and a position list (Appearance>Widget, for WP admin). You just have to select Twitter widget from list and place it into specific position from position list.
(***Remember, you may not find the widget menu at the same location for each theme. Also, position assigning process may vary from theme to theme. But basic concept is similar. )
For example, we are using here a very popular theme Sellya Woocommerce WP theme (We recommend- you should try it!!).
At first from Appearance >widget, we place the Sellya Twitter Feed widget at footer position.
Then at widget configuration, place your Twitter widget User name and ID (discussed earlier) and save it.
And check at your front end how it looks like!
